Material Requirements Planning (MRP)

Our Material Requirements Planning solutions help you plan quantities and manage the costs of materials. It integrates directly with your customer orders, inventory management and inventory controls, plus forecasting, purchasing and other components, enabling you to quickly view and react to critical data such as when purchase orders are due, when manufacturing orders will be completed, and the actual customer orders making up the commitments of an item.

Capacity Requirements Planning (CRP)

Our Manufacturing Software Solutions' Capacity Requirements Planning helps to determine your company's ability to meet manufacturing demand. Our CRP solutions accommodate the three types of demand, soft, firm and planned, that affects your production schedule and enables changes that immediately affect your production schedule. Because of its flexible design and integration with our Distribution Management Software Solutions, it helps with long range planning as well as short-term production scheduling.

Manufacturing Work Orders

Manufacturing Software Solutions from VAI provides you with the ability to track work order status and workload by department, by work center and by machine. Because it is integrated with order processing, you can save time and/or make alternate plans by real-time tracking of raw materials. Quick labor entry allows for easy tracking of labor and set-up costs, while material issues track raw material usage at each routing step. Manufacturing Software Solutions' production history screens show costs by operation and a total unit cost summary. Cost and usage variances from standards are tracked and integrated with the General Ledger.

Master Production Schedule (MPS)

Totally integrated with Material Requirements Planning, the Master Production Schedule or MPS software system allows you to view the schedule on a daily, weekly, or monthly basis. The MPS takes input from Manufacturing Orders, Forecasting, Customer Orders, and Purchasing. You can change due dates of orders on-line, view the production schedule for the selected time period, and even test the schedule for capacity constraints. Final requirements are automatically generated and passed on to purchasing and work order applications.

Forecasting

Sales Forecasts can be generated by our Manufacturing Software Solution for an item, or groups of items, and are company, plant, and year/month specific. The forecast can be set with a base monthly figure and adjusted by a percentage or amount on a monthly basis. Actual sales are then compared to forecast to determine a variance and forecast accuracy.

Shop Floor Control

Contained within VAI’s Manufacturing Software Solutions are Shop Floor Control features that allow you to electronically collect data including shop labor, time and attendance, and material usage. Take advantage of fixed station bar code and wireless radio frequency data collection devices to improve overall efficiency. With full lot and multi-bin capabilities for receiving, putaways, material issues, and order shipment verification, this dynamic application enables accurate and efficient tracking of production and materials throughout your entire facility.
